In that same family line of the Fender Ultimate Chorus and Princeton Chorus amps was a LOUD 160 watt Fender Stage 112 SE 1X12" combo. I bought mine new back sometime in the early 90's and gigged with it for years and it has held up amazingly! These things are built like tanks! I still today have it and use as my main clean channel amp to run my pedals through. The clean channel on these are absolutely incredible and take pedals very well! And it has an extension speaker out, that I run into my 4X12" cab...and talk about a BIG sound! It might be overkill...but I love the sound of a big cab!😁 Another plus on these Fender amps is a real spring reverb tank. Granted, I use reverb pedals, but cool that it's there, and I may switch it on from time to time. The one weak point in these amps is the distortion channel. Though, the distortion tone does come more alive and sounds better at higher volumes (kinda like a tube amp), but not one I would personally use. However, if you keep the gain down fairly low with the right EQ settings you can get a decent, usable crunch tone. But I just avoid the drive channel all-together, as the heart of this amp is in the clean channel.

Sourcing good wood IS a complete nightmare. I do high end custom woodwork. Trying to find some of the exotics and larger pieces is almost impossible without importing and even then paying an arm and a leg

You’re spot on about the AOR. I recently met someone who had one and it was sounding great, just a little thin even with the bass maxxed and sure enough, the bass boost was way too much even on 0. Essentially useless without an EQ which is a shame because it otherwise sounded awesome.

It’s a shame the MM didn’t at least have a trim-pot of some kind to adjust the mid bump in that top boost because whenever it sounds amazing without it, that top boost ruins everything. Not a good lead boost at all. Also blows my mind that the HM-2 is at unity gain with volume on 10 😆

I have to chuckle every time I hear guitar players complain about guitars costing over $1000. My daughter inherited a Yamaha grand piano from my wife’s uncle. When having it moved into the house, the piano mover told us we needed to get it appraised. Uncle was not a professional musician, just putting that out there. Pre Covid replacement cost was $93000. So, yes we carry a separate insurance on a piano. Just saying that guitars are a lot cheaper then different instruments.🤣🤘🏻

I had one of these back in the day.. thing is I never got to use it. It was broken for one reason or another. I was too young to really figure it out.

I bought one of their 'cheap' 7-string Gios when Musician's Friend was blowing them out the door a few years ago. Not much to complain about with it as it played fine and sounds pretty much like what you just played on. I've used it on a few recordings but nothing I've released. My real Ibanez pride goes to my VBT700. If you know about those, then you know why I'm all about this work of art.

Try the "Uber Metal" setting from the manual. It works fantastic though my boss katana as well as my Carvin Belair amp.

Yeah even Glen Fricker says that distorted tone it's hard to hear the differences however he also says if the tone is not distorted you can hear major differences... SO if you love clean guitar pickups definitely matter I am not sure what your argument is man all the examples you used for clean sound totally different... none of the sound the same as you seem to be claiming... Differences in Bass tone and highs clarity noise level... your test is flawed sorry... Listen to all with a great pair of monitors you can really here it!!!

You got this review right I have a Randall Rg1003 and it's a great amp. I have all the vintage rack gear pq3 mxr 6 band rocktron gate ect. Set up like dime had his ran and it gets the tone and gain right there. channel 2 is the same circuit as the Rg100es and channel 3 is the century 200 Dime used a RG100es in the CFH era then switched to the century.. He massively endorsed the warhead and had them onstage but but in actuality only used them for his clean tone. That's coming straight from Grady his tech.. He used centurys and x2 for a bit up until going to Krank. he used kranks in the studio with Damage plan but live he still had Randalls he was playing through hooked up backstage and kranks on the stage. I've done years of research on Dimes gear . And have corosponded with Grady champion his longtime tech who knew his gear better than dime himself. Just figured if put that info out there..

I know a guy that is ordering chibsons but he is having an epiphone logo put on them selling like hot cakes 😂 you can order them to look just like the inspired by gibson paperwork serial number and an epiphone case for about 400 he usually gets 900 for them just warning everyone to watch out if you buy a second hand epiphone

The one Zager I played.. I didn't like.. plus they're all thick bodied guitars. Personally, I only buy used guitars because there are so many out there.. I dont see the point in killing more trees myself. Perhaps Zager are made by aliens in Roswell New Mexico.. just a hunch.

Reverb is driving up the price of guitars. They charge so much in fees that you end up spending so much more that you may as well buy a new guitar out of state with no tax and free shipping. As the seller, you often do not make what you want for your gear because of all the fees reverb takes. Needs improvement.

I had a jsx and the distortion was having an issue..so i used this pedal and i actuallly live the tone. It took me a while but yup i got it. I know a few friends that love it too

I was waiting for another "Man this is million times better than the Metal Zone.. or did you know Metallica used it on And Justice for All" so i could get it out of my closet and sell it for $ 800.00.. mint in box.. wow you just killed my dream.. but enough kidding aside.. the pedal is bad in most settings.. the Pulverize setting is the ONLY one with any bass response.. and the Mid/Scoop works like a Para EQ and have to tweak BOTH to be effective.. keep the drive down or it gets buzzy.. maybe we can offer this as the "WORLDS BEST DOOM PEDAL".. and we might get the value back up.. thanks for all you do brother..

Those Epi '67 RI Flying V's are really nice, I had one from 1998. But they have different body dimensions from the Gibson counterparts and obviously a different pickguard and control layout, so anyone could tell them apart even if you cover the logo. Regardless, they're pretty well built even if hardware and electronics aren't great.
